Gumbo: The most popular and traditional of the Cajun dishes. Brown meat and soften some chopped onion, celery and capsicum. Follow
instructions but If you like a thick gumbo, use less water. If you want a seafood gumbo, add the seafood at the end. Serve over rice. Enjoy!!!
Jambalaya and Dirty Rice: Traditional Cajun rice dishs. For every dish, I like to add vegetables like onion, celery and capsicum, chopped finely. Brown the meat, soften the vegetables and follow the instructions. Chicken and smoked sausage with Jambalaya and minced beef with Dirty Rice. Minced chicken, turkey or pork are great too. Have without meat as a accompaniment to any meal. Enjoy!!!
Cajun Seasoning: Great on anything. Fish, chips, steak, chicken and anything else you can think of!! This is a salt and pepper substitute with all of the flavours of Louisiana.
Chicken Fry: If you like fried chicken like I do, once you prepare your own fried chicken with this product, you will never buy another piece of fried chicken anywhere. Just follow the instructions on the packet and you can’t go wrong!!!
Shrimp Creole: A traditional New Orleans Cajun Creole dish with the fresh taste of tomatoes. Soften roughly chopped onions, celery and capsicum. Prepare mix and follow instructions. Add 400 g tin of chopped tomatoes or 400 g tin of tomato puree. Add prawns at the end and simmer for 2 minutes. Serve over rice. For a change, fish fillets are nice too!
Seasoned Fish Fry: The most traditional of the Louisiana seafood coatings. It is just as good with oysters and mussels as it is with fish. You can also deep fry vegetables!!!! It is tasty!!!! You can make your own fish and chips and it will taste better than anything you buy!!
Redbeans & Rice: An old favourite New Orleans style dish. Follow the instructions. I like extra vegetables and I often have smoked sausage or ham in the dish. Enjoy!!!
